The Pioneer Peak Baptist Church Men enjoy several opportunities for fellowship and service.  Please contact the church office or send us an email through this website if you have any questions, and be watching the calendar and announcements for more details.

Deacons

We believe in two Biblical offices in the church, the Pastor (also called the Bishop, Elder, or Preacher) and the deacons.  The deacons are mature godly men who serve the church in its temporal and spiritual ministries.  We choose men who exemplify the qualifications for a deacon which are found in 1 Timothy 3:8-13.

Various Activities

Pastor Schrepfer enjoys time with the men in various ways.  Coming soon, they will be taking a four-wheeling trip out to the Knik Glacier.  Sportsmen’s Banquet is an activity they’ve enjoyed in the past and look forward to in the future again.  Be watching for upcoming plans!

Retreats

Pioneer Peak men enjoy two retreats each year with other men of the Alaska Baptist Association at Higher Ground Baptist Bible Camp in Sterling, AK.  In the spring a fun retreat is the Shooting Retreat for young men ages 9th grade and up who like to shoot.  The Men’s Retreat in the fall is a favorite time of fellowship and challenge from the Word.  Canoe Camp is for men ages 11th grade and up, and it is a great Father/Son opportunity of fellowship for those who love trekking through the outdoors.
